Quickly stitch photos in order to create a panorama by using this small and very easy to use macOS application featuring a minimalist design
DoubleTake is a minimalist yet quite powerful Mac application that enables you to stitch images together in order to create a panorama, to create photo montages, or to split large images for printing.
Thanks to its intuitive and well organized user interface, DoubleTake is fairly easy to use, but you can also check the online documentation to get a comprehensive description of its capabilities.
User friendly image processor that can stitch images together in no time
Importing photos to DoubleTake is reduced to simply dragging and dropping them on top of the app’s main window, or on top of its Dock icon. DoubleTake will automatically scan the images, analyze the edges, and propose an arrangement. Of course, you can easily make adjustments with minimal effort.
Additional control panels enable you to rotate or tilt the images, to change their direction, or to resize them. Moreover, you can also adjust the photos exposure, contrast, saturation, gamma, or brightness levels. DoubleTake can also help you align the images, and makes sure to create a smooth transition.
Create panoramas from multiple images, or split large photos for printing
If you are using DoubleTake to patch multiple images together, DoubleTake allows you to apply a fisheye distortion to the final result: this way, the straight lines from the transition areas will be less visible. A simple slider bar allows you to adjust the focal length for the fisheye distortion.
Furthermore, DoubleTake can be used to quickly create photo montages, or to print large images: the app will split them into multiple areas that can be handled by small printers.
Full-featured and streamlined tool for rapidly generating panoramas using your Mac
All in all, even though DoubleTake comes with a minimalist design and does not come with very complex tools, it still can successfully deal with rather demanding tasks: you can effortlessly stitch images together and create panoramas, you can create photo collages, or you can split large photos into smaller image files.
