Overview
Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay. There were some fundamental flaws in ACDSee Pro 3 for Mac, which created compatibility issues. These architectural flaws needed to be addressed before we could move forward with the Mac product line. To that end, we have built a dedicated, new Mac development team. The application has now been rewritten from the bottom up, and consequently, future updates will be more efficient. We are committed to delivering those updates to you in a timely fashion.

ACDSee Photo Studio for Mac BETA now supports:
• powerful database improvements
• a better, more stable browsing experience (no importing to get started)
• general performance and stability improvements
• running on macOS Sierra (of course)

What's New in Version 4.0.334:
Bug Fixes:
 - Restored the ability to add items on removable drives to the ACDSee database
 - Fixed an issue where developing an image in a large folder may cause the application to become non-responsive
 - Fixed memory management issues with certain Batch operations (Resize, Change Format, Develop)
 - Fixed an issue where image thumbnail and file information are missing if "Show Folders" preference is disabled
 - Fixed an issue where selecting an iOS device in the folder tree could cause a crash
 - Fixed an issue where the Calendar item counts could be off by one
 - Fixed an issue where selecting a thumbnail icon doesn't select the thumbnail
 - Fixed an issue where double-clicking on a thumbnail icon takes the selected image to View mode
 - Fixed an issue where image thumbnail and file information are missing when browsing to an uncataloged folder via Favorites
 - Restored the Image Attributes section under the File Properties section
 - Fixed an issue where large RAW images could take a long time to display in View or Develop mode
 - Fixed an issue where incorrect volumes may be listed in the folder tree
 - Fixed an issue where the folder tree may not refresh properly after ejecting a removable drive or network share
 - Fixed an issue where the folder tree may list duplicate subfolders
 - Fixed an issue where the ACDSee database doesn't update when deleting a folder with cataloged items
 - Fixed an issue where assigning ACDSee metadata to an unscanned file silently fails
 - Fixed an issue where the file scanner may fail to automatically resume scanning network folders
 - Fixed an issue where the file scanner ignores changes to file sort order
 - Fixed an issue where file scanning may fail after continuous network browsing
 - Fixed an issue where the app is not responsive on launch if the ACDSee database contains many images on the network
 - Fixed an issue where writing EXIF or IPTC metadata to a PNG destroys its existing EXIF and IPTC metadata
 - Fixed an issue where some IPTC values written to JPG images by ACDSee can't be read by other apps
 - Fixed an issue where IPTC or EXIF metadata written to RAW files by other apps couldn't be read
 - Fixed an issue where previously scanned network folders are double-added to the ACDSee database
 - Fixed an issue where network files are listed as local items in Database Maintenance
 - Fixed an issue where Tone Curves adjustments may produce incorrect output
 - Fixed an issue where browsing a file with embedded ACDSee category, keyword, or tag would write that ACDSee metadata to the database

New Features:
 - Improved the presentation of thumbnails in the file list and filmstrip
 - Added option "Import ACDSee organizing information (categories, keywords, tagged)" to the Catalog Folders tool
 - When displaying RAW images, ACDSee now uses the embedded preview (except in Develop mode)

Notes:
 - Databases from Beta 3 and earlier are not compatible with Beta 4
 - Installation of Beta 4 will not overwrite Beta 3. It is recommended that Beta 3 users uninstall Beta 3
