* NOTE: Lyrical will NOT fetch lyrics from a third party website. It can only show the lyrics if the song has lyrics embedded into it via iTunes. You can of course, use a third party app to fetch lyrics for a song or add the lyrics manually with iTunes and Lyrical's widget will then display lyrics.
* NOTE2: If you're wondering why no window pops up when Lyrical first opens, this is because Lyrical has a Notification Center widget that you can enable. Open Notification Center, click on Edit, and then select Lyrical from the list that appears.
** Lyrical is Top 10 in the Music category! (October 2014) **
Lyrical displays your iTunes lyrics and various song information like artwork, artist, and song name. It even lets you control the playback, sound, and set ratings for the song, right from the Notification Center! This is incredibly useful if you are using multiple apps and you just don't want to switch to iTunes.
You can also choose to view or hide the current song's lyrics. You can toggle lyrics with just a click, and Lyrical will elegantly expand and collapse to fit the song lyrics.
Features like Last.fm scrobbling, creating a genius playlist, and much more, are planned for a future release, which might be very soon ;)
If you are wondering, yes! Lyrical is written with Swift, Apple's new programming language.
